Day 5 is the long awaited day. We were going to do Adventure Caving. There are few adventure caving options - Turtle Cave (beginner), Lagangs Cave (beginner), Racer Cave (Intermediate), Drunken Forest (Intermediate), Stonehorse (advanced), Clearwater Connection (advanced) andSarawak Chamber (advanced).
All 4 of us had not done any adventure caving activity before, only PW and Suh have done rock climbing before. But guess what, the 4 daring ladies is going for Racer Cave, an intermediate level caving activity! orhooo.... Actually I didn't know about the caving difficulty at all, I just follow the group and Suh is the one planning the trip and decided that we go for Racer Cave. Haaaa.

The adventure caving day started with funny beginning. We were supposed to wait for another 3 white tourists before depart to Racer cave. Somehow the Rangers made a mistake or what, he asked us to join another handsome Dutch man on a boat and we set off first. The Dutch man is going to Penan Village and Clear water cave and Wind cave. That we have done a day ago! But since we were already on the boat, and it has set off, so we just tour the Penan Village again. Then we sent Dutch off and Clear Water cave and we detoured to Racer Cave and waited for the rest.

Our caving guide is a Penan lady name Jenny. She is very fit! We were given head lamp and safety helmet each and we are holding our torch ready too before we entered the cave. Racer is a type of snake like python, not poisonous. The cave is name Racer as it has many Racer snake in it last time. Adventure caving is really challenging, we have to walk in narrow cave path that fat person might get stuck in the middle; we have to climb on rope and get from lower cave to upper cave; Climb down deep into low cave with rope help, walk every step cautiously with legs and hands on ground too (semi crawling especially on slippery path). We saw spider, centipede and snake in the cave. I's real challenging and fun doing this activit. However PW, ML and I stopped at the last part of the cave exploration as the task is a bit difficult for us and we are really inexperienced in rope climbing, can be dangerous. So only Suh went with Jenny and another 2 white ladies and a white man to the last part of the cave.

The 3 of us waited for 10 minutes at the edge of the inner cave and we had some time to snap few adventure picture there.
We came out from Racer cave about 2 hours later. We are all sweaty, muddy and dirty. Despite that, it was a really enthralling experience, challenging and satisfying for me. It’s was like - well, not bad girl, I can do all this hardcore climbing and adventure! Haaaa. Once we returned to National Park Long house, we rushed to the dormitory bathroom (we had checked out from Cobra Cave) and have a good shower. This time I went in to the shower without hot water and my chance to have a cold jump.

During lunch, we met the Dutch tourist on the same boat with us in the morning. We have some chat before we parted. We bid farewell to Gunung Mulu national Park and flew back to Miri at 1400. At Mulu airport, we met another dear friend we known from the trip – Mr. Najib. He was on duty at Mulu airport and of course we had some good chat while waiting for our flight to depart.
Back to Miri, we checked into Marriot Hotel! Wow, luxury stay for the last 2 days. Hehehe. We had a short rest then we walked to the seaside just beside Marriot’s pool and watch the beautiful sunset there before we went for another seafood dinner! Haaaa…..seafood seafood, I love seafood. :p I had a good spa bath in the hotel before I end my day.

One thing funny is, someone had set the room air cond to 30 degrees, no wonder the whole night, I felt so sweaty hahahaha. I asked the rest the next day and they said they too felt hot, yet, I saw them covered with thick blanket whole night, I thought they were too cold! Haaaa
