Today on our way out of town, we stopped to visit the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library.  Wow, what an impressive place.  We both loved Regan and truly enjoyed all of the memorabilia.  The best part was the Air Force One Pavilion which houses the actual plane (727) used by 7 presidents and flown over one million miles during its 28 years of service.  T. Boone Pickens paid for the building which is huge.  We boarded the plane but were not allowed photos inside.  The hall also contains the presidential limousine and Marine One Helicopter plus the Ronald Reagan Pub which is the original (not a copy of) O’Farrell’s Pub visited by Ron and Nancy in Ballyporeen, Ireland.  Needless to say, we loved the experience.

After our visit we drove to Santa Barbara and checked into the Elks.  We drove to the pier where we wandered around and had a wonderful Crab Louie salad at Moby Dick’s with an ocean view.  Stopped to shop at the local Trader Joes (the first one we’ve been to in almost a year).  I noticed that almost everything went up 50%.
