To prepare for the trip we have been doing lots of walking and I have posted some pictures on the blog. Even though I have already been to some amazingly beautiful places I still think Great Britain has some fantastic views and places which could rival anywhere. (ok, maybe it does rain a little too much!)

We have also been trying hard to eat healthy food, lots of fruit and vegetables and most importantly get lots of sleep!

We have had to buy some very warm clothes because we are going to some very cold places, we are hoping to climb to Everest Base Camp and going down to the bottom of Chile which is in the Antarctic Circle. We are hoping to go glacier walking and camp on the ice!

We are going to carry all our clothes and belongings for the year in our backpacks, this means our bags can’t be too heavy or else we wouldn’t be able to carry them. I am trying to pack everything so my bag doesn’t weigh more than 15kg. This is proving to be quite tricky!

We will set off for Delhi in India on Saturday 15^th August. We will take the train down to London and fly from Heathrow airport. We will set off at 5:35pm English time on Saturday and arrive in Delhi at 6:20 am Sunday morning. The flight will take 8.15 hours. At the moment Indian time is 4.5hours ahead of the time in England.
