Ankara, the first place my class visited in Turkey, was a great experience because we had some time on our won after visitng the museum, to explore the city.  My friends and I visited the park, which is a very popular place for social gathering.  The museum was very interesting because one of the main exhibits was a replica of a house at Catal Hoyuk, a Neolithic settlement.  The local cuisine was very delicious, especially the doner sandwiches and desserts, such as eclairs.  Many of the Turkeish really appreciate it when you at least attempt to speak their language, even if your pronunciation is incorrect.
