Return of the Nomad
From Don't wait up, I may be some time... in Hong Kong, China on Jul 13 '09
So Beijing is confined to the memory bank, as phase four of the voyage gets underway. But what a time I had... some amazing days, some even better nights, and some friendships that I'll always keep. And - although it took a little manouevering - I got some solid work experience under my belt too. I have a handful of blog entries posted up on www.Beijing-kids.com (the content will be of little interest to most of you, but feel free to have a neb by searching for my name if you're that way inclined)while my contributions to the August edition of the print magazine are being edited as I write, and should also appear on that same site in due course.
I flew to Hong Kong on Monday evening, and have spent today (Tuesday) wandering around, eating, seeing some sights, and generally getting back in to the care free way of the backpacker once more. This is me for the next two months, with little in the way of structure other than a flight from Singapore to Sydney in September. So, South East Asia is my oyster in the interim. I have plans to meet up with some friends at certain points along the way, but much of my time on this portion of the trip will be spent on my own (although lone travellers inevitably wind up meeting people along the way, so I'm not overly concerned about tiring of my own company!).
Blog entries are likely to become more frequent now that I'm hopping from place to place again, so keep checking back for more updates. Contributions to the comments board are always welcome...
