On our way out of Katherine we stopped at Edith Falls. Just a gorgeous waterfall with a huge plunge pool. Apparently 3 freshwater crocs in here somewhere so Kp and I were a bit hesitant at first. Waited until we saw people swimming out further than us!!! Very clear water and refreshing, stayed in near the edge though.... Owie and Jamo ventured further out. Went for a 1.6 km walk up through the hills and to the top of the falls where there were 2 more smaller falls and plunge pools. No crocs here, yeh! Swam here for a couple of hours. Tan gets cold pretty quick so he lizards up on the rocks.

Very refreshed and ready to head up to Litchfield.
Can tell straight away we would love this place. Stopped in Batchelor to refill the esky. Lovely little town and bottle of sav blanc only cost $9. Owie said his slab was a good price to.
We stayed right out in the park at a safari camp. Tanner hated the spiders in the toilet that kept crawling around while he was in there. Lovely place and we could have a fire so my little piro maniac boys loved it. They enjoyed collecting firewood and seeing the kangaroos out in the bush. Lots of mozzies, first time we have really noticed them. Really warm days and nights good aswell. Night sky so clear, we do lots of star gazing.

Had a look at Tolmer Falls first, can't swim there but amazing. Visited Wangi Falls next. OMG gorgeous. Two waterfalls into the one plunge pool. No crocs yeh. We loved it. Swam here for a couple of hours. Jamo, KP and Owie swam right out and climbed up into a water hole right near the falls that was like a spa, really warm water and bottomless! Close to our camp so we went back in in the arvo as it was hot hot hot.... Nice relaxing day.
On our way out visited Florence Falls which was a smaller plunge pool but again beautiful. Swam out to the falls here and under them. The water coming down was warm. Hard to leave these places.

Gigantic Magnetic Termite Mounds were our last stop in the National Park. Wow massive. Pretty clever little termites, they apparently have a built in compass which helps them align the mounds North/South to keep the mounds cooler during the day but preserve heat for the nights.
So we had a ball, didn't shower once! swam all day everyday so were clean!!! I had a minor upset. A small cut on my finger became infected and pussed right up! Couldn't move my finger which became really swollen. Felt like a knife was stuck in it, very painful. Got quite ill aswell for a few days. Doctor Owie got the detol onto it and this helped. Took a good week to get better!! Was foul, don't think I've had a pussy sore since primary school.....
