After our stay in Maine, we drove to Sugar Hill to spend two nights at the Sugar Hill Inn and to go to Franconia Notch State Park.

The Sugar Hill Inn was the first real Inn I think I've stayed at and it lived up to my wildest Inn dreams. Cozy rooms, a great 4 course breakfast, very pleasant host and a pool with a waterfall added up to make a pleasant stay. I said the word "cozy" more than my boyfriend would have liked, but I couldn't help myself. Even people that are opposed to staying in Inns should like this place. They even had a nice bar.

But I digress...

On the second day we wanted to go to Polly's Pancake Parlor but we had to head out pretty quickly. I did stop there to get pancake mix as a gift for some friends, especially for my friend Sarah who recommened that we go there in the first place.

Sugar Hill is right next to Franconia and many other cozy small towns. We drove to the downtown and almost missed it (very small). We enjoyed the country roads and pretty lupines in bloom.
