When All is Said and Done

Overall, this trip has allowed me to experience more than I could have ever expected, and in only 5 short weeks.  Being abroad has shown me how Americans can sometimes be self-centered and how we are often oblivious to global affairs.  It taught me to look at current global politics from many different perspectives, and within the context of relevant historical events.  The most important thing I learned though, through studying some important colonies of antiquity, is that people are generally same through every time and in every place. Religion, region, and time period mean very little when it comes down to human nature and needs.

This taste of the world only makes me hungry to see more.

After travelling abroad, I can't wait to go again.  This taste of the world only makes me hungry to see more.  I hope to study and travel again soon, but I will be sincerely blessed if I again ever experience an amazing trip like this one.
