Where it all begins!!

Debbie and Sister Dot picked me up around lunch time today and we headed to Knoxville ( Thanks for the ride, Dot!)

We are spending the night at the Days Inn in Knoxville. A bus arrived just after us, bringing the folks from Alabama and Georgia that will be going on the trip. Tomorrow morning we will meet the rest of the folks from this area.

The folks on this trip go every year, so this is like a family reunion for them. They all know each other, so I will have to work even harder to get their names memorized quickly.

I had dinner tonight with three couples that are going on the trip. Jo Ann and Doug from  Huntsville ,Alabama , Bill and Ann from Loyall, Kentucky, and Mary and Jack from Huntsville, Alabama. It was a lovely dinner and helped me get a head start on the name game! There is a total of  57 people that will be on this tour, including the guide and bus driver.

Rumor has it that the bus is picking up some folks in the morning in and around the Abingdon, VA area.....so we may be headed north.....or south....or east.....who knows? Stay tuned!!!
