I have mixed feelings about Provincetown. Having paid $80 for the ferry journey, I was hoping for the best. I wasnt fully sure what to expect, from what I had heard,  Capecod was somewhere young, vibrant and kind of alternative. So I was thinking of cool music, college students and a laid back attitude. Provincetown was more like a little village in the middle of nowhere, that had been invaded by the whole gay community of Boston, and had sold out to tourist trade. Maybe thats a little harsh...

The ferry ride was good, only 90 minutes. They have one main street- commercial street, full of tiny little shops and bars, bombarding you with cape cod momentos before you even find out what is capecod. Every second building has a gay flag, no exageration.  Thats the bad side.

Once you get past that, the rest of the place is chilled out and relaxed, sort of get away from the city buzz, play tennis, cycling or sailing. Not really much else to do, apart from climb a big tower which takes bloody ages, but you do get a good view of capecod from the top.

Before I went, I had a really delicious dinner- Mediteranian Chicken, with the best Chocolate Fudge Cake dessert Ive ever had, with a few beers of course. Anyway thats Provincetown, not what I was expecting or looking for, but good if want a relaxing break, or a gay party!
