Day 124 - Manta Ray Island!

So today we were headed to the islands!! We had to be up and out of the hotel at 7.15am so we got up and ate our free brekkie and then jumped on the bus! We arrived at the port at about 8am and checked in and then went to the shop to buy some mixer to go with our vodka that we got duty free. We also decided to check out the price of our vodka in shops... it was $80 and we got it for $18 bargainnnn!! We then got some money out and jumped on the boat and it set sail at 8.30am!

We just chilled out on the boat and chatted etc. The way you get to the islands from the big boat is really cool, the little island boats come out and you just get on them and then take you to the island as the big boat is too big to go inland! Its wierd you just stop in the middle of the sea... But its pretty cool! We arrived at Manta Ray island at 11.30am. We got onto the little boat and then headed to shore.

Let the island hopping begin...!

We met a girl called Ellie pretty much straight away. Once on the island we checked in and then had a talk about meal times etc and then in was lunch time and so we headed up for food which was incredibleee! After food we went to the 36 bed dorm and changed and then headed to the beach! We sunbathed all afternoon and then we went over to the other side of the island (a 1 minute walk) to have a look over there. After that we showered and Erin made friends with a lizard in the showers which she called Lucky as it got to see her naked!

We headed to the beach bar at 6.30pm and sat with Ellie, Michael and Dan. We headed up to the food place at 7pm and got dinner. At 8pm there was some entertainment and Michael got up and cracked open a coconut with his hand. Then there was a group game which got very competitive and funny and then the limbo. After that we all sat and chatted. Lucy managed to get very drunk and with Michael completely fell out of hammock which was very funny! We then headed to bed at about midnight!
