Were not in Kansas Any More!!

Well, so much has gone on today and as you have all come to expect it has been an adventure to say the least.   Neel and I right now are updating dueling blogs.

So, even thought I've traveled for years and years with Northwest airlines this merger I have to say leaves a lot to be deisred.  I purchased tickets together so we would get our upgrades together.  Then literally nine customer support agents and gate agents and counter agents later I still can't get anyone to answer my questions on why our upgrades are not being processed.... "we can't do that"..."your tickets are on the same record"...."thats not possible"...." you need to talk to Northwest"..."you need to talk to Delta"... "you need to talk to Northwest"..."your tickets ARE on seperate records"... you get hte picture.

where are we staying? We don't know!

However thankfully the only person with a shred of common sense was the lead flight attenedant who realized with 6 empty seats up front that we could be upgraded.

Finally we land in San Jose, CR.  We find my large name plastered on a large sign with a large man waiting for us with a large van.  Yes, I did mention our driver and car.. well the car is actually an 8 person passanger van for two of us!  So our man Alberto says where are you staying.. we give him the first taste of traveling with me as we resolutely tell him.. we dont know!

Well he takes us to a very nice hotel much more expensive than we planned on ($50/nt) but thats ok for night one.  however the restaurant and bar he sends us to is nothing short of a straight out brothel.  I was gropped more times in the time it took me to walk from the door to the bar and back out than I have been in my previous 38 years.  EEEEwwwwwww!!  Well it is an adventure.  We've certainly started things off right.

At the moment I'm pretty dang tired and ready to go to bed so we wil call this one a night for me.  I don't know what Neel is writing but its all lies!  Tomorrow morning we'll explore around San Jose a bit and then its off to Arenal in our massive carrivan of a bus..just for the two of us.  I think we'll be picking up people along the way and charging for the rides.. a business opportunity is never far away for me!
