Customer Service?

Neel here. A very smooth transit down to Costa Rica: Detroit to Atlanta, Atlanta to San Jose. The only snafu was the lack of upgrade to first class (I know, poor Neel!). Well, actually, Bill got the upgrade to Atlanta, but was unable to upgrade me as a companion because of a strange lack of accountability between Northwest and Delta - their merger is not going smoothly. I listened to Bill burn through 9+ customer service agents in person and on the phone. It was quite the spectator sport.
He got nowhere with customer service, but on the leg to San Jose, he convinced the flight attendant to give me the upgrade. So I got to partake in the high life, thanks to Bill´s sheer determination (stubborness; obstinance; anger; by-any-means-necessary attitude). So at least I know he´s got my back...
