Beaches and Movie Stars

Day 8 St. Margarita 11:20 hotel

            This morning started off beautifully with an amazing cappuccino and danish! We then took a train to St. Margarita where I of course had Pizza Margarita on the beach! I then went for a swim and soaked up some rays. Then we took a lovely walk along the coast [more uphill too] to Piedmont. The town is very ritzy; so I just did more hiking to find the lighthouse [which I never found] so I came down to get some gelato. I went to pay and was caught off guard by the extremely good-looking cashier. I went to eat my ice cream outside and gawk! After much pressure from the other people in my group I decided I would go back to get water [I mustn’t get dehydrated!] and start a conversation since he was wearing a Chicago shirt [be proud Beka]. So I made small talk about Chicago and paid the stinking 2.5 euro for water [sorry mom] and he winked at me. ; > Sorry Alicia . . . my pod-partner no photo, and I’m not moving here to marry him.

            So then we caught our water taxi back to St. Margarita and jumped on the train to Asti. We then went to have an “apativo” [appetizer] again. Vivianna [our leader] found the best place, they give you all you can eat food and they just mark up the price of drinks. I ordered a Pina Colada and sampled a few others. My new favorite is Sex on the Beach! Yum yum.

            Now I’m back at the hotel and tomorrow we are going for a bike ride through the vineyards, a huge massive lunch that sounds adorable, and a wine tasting. Should be a fun day! I better get to bed and sleep off my hangover [totally kidding! ; >] Love and Kisses –TheLostPalindrome.
