We left Casa Grande Arizona on April 30th,  driving to Laughlin where we had a planned meeting with Pat & Keith for fun evening. Again thanks for the dinner Keith and Pat!

Leaving Laughlin on May 1st, our next stop is Cedar City in Utah.  From this location we can visit 2 national parks while here in Utah, Zion and Bryce Canyon.

We drive into Zion National Park, beautiful scenery, spectacular mountains, a must see for anyone coming to Utah.  These pictures really don’t give it justice. When you are looking up to the peaks of these incredible rocks, you feel so small. They are overpowering.  Another day we drove into Kolob Canyon just outside Cedar City. Red, red cliffs and very rugged terrain.

Next we take a day and drive from Cedar City over to Bryce Canyon National Park. We loved the hoodoo's (rock formations) here. You would think you were on another planet walking around this amazing place. We hiked the Navajo Loop, down into the bowels of earth!  This is a really neat place, we loved it.  We would love to come back for a couple of weeks, camping in the park and spend the days hiking.

To maintain our BC residency we  will return to BC for the summer.  We are now driving up through Idaho, Montana and will enter Canada at Osoyoos.  We plan to spend our time in the Okanagan area, which will give us easy access to the Kootenay area of BC which we have never seen.

Our "holiday" continues and I will update our blog ocassionally during the summer months.
