Carcassonne

Arrived in Carcassone and got a taxi to our apartment as we already knew it was a bit too far to walk, 5 Euro, txis are so much cheaper here than in Christchurch. Apartment was only 2 1/2 star was was almost brand new,don,t know how they work he star ratings out. Another day another nice bottle of champage, quite cold here and raining on and off.

Saturday really cold, visited the Mideavel walled city which is th highligh for this area. Went on a cnnal cruise from 2.30 - 4.15 and went through a loch. Really cold, in fact really freezing, really strong cold wind. Think they must get a lot of wind here as some of the trees in the paddocks have got a lean on them.
