From the cloudy skies of Surigao, we flew to Cebu. The Princess of the Visayan region. It was scorching hot when we reached the airport. After lunch we headed to Cebu downtown, there we had to wait for the Bus going to Badian. The bus station experience was overwhelming. It was a friday so it was packed with travelers. We boarded our non-airconditioned bus, took a 3 hours trip to the Southern part of Cebu. Ma'am Cinch was the first to unravel the secrets of that place. With so much interest we scheduled this trip months in advance.

It was raining that night when we reached our little neat cottage. We woke up early that morning to watch the sunrise. It was magnificent to see the moon, with a rainbow and soft playful clouds playing on the horizon. It's also lovely to watch the fishermen effortlessly pulling their nets. It looked as if they're dancing gracefully. It's the simplest things in life that make me smile on that beautiful day. I saw my sister always playful. I saw her on knee deep water. She was busy looking for starfishes. I already saw starsfishes in Bohol but not as many as the ones we saw there in Badian. Though the sea and beach doesn't look so clean due to dead corals, the sea is still rich. It was low tide that time so we were able to walk through the water, there are sea urchins and little fishes.
It was a dreamy morning, we're like fairies in a quite enchanted forest.

After breakfast, we decided to go to Moalboal, a few minutes from Badian. We went to Bas Daku, (Big Sand). A white beach, with some parts of lava rocks. It was a nice spot, not too many tourists. The water clean and the not too salty. The weather was weird back then. It was scorching hot then it would rain hard. But swimming with rain is fantastic. The three of us rode a single motorbike to reach the main road, imagine 4 of us in one bike. It is easy to roam around Cebu because you can hop on the bus that passes through their main road and it is alot cheaper. The church of Moalboal is interesting, what's left is the facade. They already built a new church beside it instead of restoring/rebuilding it. That afternoon we had a late lunch of roasted chicken, dined fronting the sea on our cozy little hut. It's simple but it was great.

The next day, we are all excited to go to Tawasan Falls. We hiked early in the morning when the gracious sun is peaking through the trees. It was a dreamy morning, we're like fairies in a quite enchanted forest. The stream water is clear and very inviting. Tawasan Falls are divided into levels, we hiked until we reach the main source of the water. We even passed by the bridge which seemed to be a very romantic spot. We went past the dam, the water is emerald green. It was my kind of forest. Crossing the bamboo ake-shift bridges was scary. We stopped over at the second waterfalls hut area to have lunch. We rented a "balsa" bamboo raft to take us to the falls and have our back massaged. It was a bit scary because the water has a very powerful force, we feared we might topple over.
