Starting out today, we really didn't know what to expect when we arrived at Bergamo - we thought we might be returning to Milan after an hour there because we weren't sure what awaited us. HOW WRONG WE WERE!!
Bergamo is a gem of a city, approx. 1hour by train (€3.60) from Milan. The city itself is surprisingly big, but it is it's Cita Alta (Old city) above the city that attracts the vast number of tourists.
