The Easter Bunny Visits Moab

What an Easter! The hotel was so sweet and left an Easter basket for Katelyn the night before. This morning we awoke to eggs hidden around our room and a basket full of treats from the Easter bunny (thanks to some creative packing in my suitcase). Next we joined the three other kids staying at the ranch for a hotel-sponsored egg hunt on the grassy river bank. So fun. Then we headed to a wonderful Easter brunch at the hotel restaurant.

We lounged around the ranch for a day of relaxation--swam in the pool, took a walk, played at the playground. In the afternoon, I went on a horseback riding adventure through the canyonlands with a guide. It was so beautiful. It's truly so hard to put into words the grandeur of this place. Magical. And the best part--when we returned, the guide let Katelyn ride the horse! And she loved it. : ) So cute. She really bonded with the horses and was talking to them and telling them stories. She's an animal lover like her mom.

It's truly so hard to put into words the grandeur of this place. Magical.

For dinner, we took our first trip into the town of Moab. A bit more commercial and less quaint than we had expected. We grabbed a bite at the Moab Brewery then back to the peacefullness of Sorrel Ranch.

The BIG news is that Katelyn lost her first TOOTH today. Absolutely adorable to see her toothless smile. It's been wiggly for some time and it came out while she was brushing her teeth for bed. She's so excited.
