What do I have to say about Bratislava? Well first impressions were its even more backwards than prague. Bratislava overall was a boring place to visit. Its not a bustling city with lots going on, infact quite the opposite. I found it boring to be honest, not that much goings on. Its ok for a couple of days travelling through as we did, so in that respect it was fine, no more than 2 nights though!

Day 1 we just walked around town, round the shops and squares, it is nice with sculputres in the pedestrian parts. There are a few bars, we stopped off for a beer. We then crossed the river and chilled in the park playing card games most of the day. The weather was gorgeous. There was nothing to do in the evenings, there was one club which we didn't even make it to, so we chilled in the hostel watching the olymipcs, fairly boring stuff. The next day we went to tesco and made lunch in the hostel. We then talked to the reception guy, I had the fantastic idea of going to a lake. He suggested this lake for us to go to, I cannt remember what it's called but there are a few in Bratislava. We trammed it down to this massive fresh water lake. It was really worth it. We chilled for hours swimming, drinking, playing cards and generally having a good time by the side of the lake. There were bars and restaurants at this lake. I loved it. That was basically Bratislava!

Bratislava, a non-essential stop over on the way to better places.
