This afternoon we drove the motorhome 98 miles to Jacksonville.  We are staying at Hannah Park which is a beautiful site located between the Intercostal Waterway and the Atlantic Ocean on Wonderwood Lake.  It feels as if you are in a jungle – many trees and beautiful foliage.  There are many places to ride our bikes.  After we arrived we took a bike ride to the beach and then to the lake.  I took a few photos and when we arrived back at the motorhome I couldn’t find my camera.  We retraced our route and found the case along the way – obviously someone had found it and taken the case off.  I lost all my photos from Daytona Beach and of the shuttle launch.  I think I have a black cloud over my head when it comes to cameras.  I do have my Canon but have gotten used to having a small camera I can carry in my purse or pocket.

On Tuesday we took a drive to the Jacksonville Costco and then into downtown Jacksonville.  The St. James River runs through Jacksonville and contains a very is a very large shipping port.  We drove along the river to Amelia Island Plantation and then to Ft. Clinch State Park in Fernandina Beach.  Both are on the Atlantic Ocean.  Amelia Island is a resort area with lots of golf courses and beautiful hotels.  We checked out Ft. Clinch as a possible spot to move tomorrow.  On the way back we discovered a short cut which involved crossing the St. James River on a ferry – it was a short ride but saved us lots of time.  The weather is cloudy today and rain is predicted for tonight and the next two days.
