Adelaide
From Around the World in 365 Days in Adelaide, Australia on Oct 22 '08
After a very turbalant landing we arrived in Adelaide. It was late eveing and we had less that an hour to grab our belongings and get to our hostel to check in before reception closed. For the first time our luggage was the first out, we grabbed it and took of in a taxi. Arriving at the hostel we realised we had left our didj on the plane. The airline has left endless messaged on my mobile and luckily the following day we picked it up.
Adelaide YHA was the best hostel we have ever stayed it. It was clean, funky and modern. The kitchen was amazing, the rooms comfortable and we had tv rooms. We spent a few days in Adelaide catcing trams around teh city, visiting sunday market with their creative stool selling hand made crafts and food. Adelaide was a very attractive small city. The roads were very long and grid formatted. the buidling werehistorical and attractive, espcially the university. Nightlife in Adelaide was low key on week days, however, on weekends it was buzzing. Shoppign arcades could be found in Adelaide which were amusing to look around. All in all Adealide was very pleasant city. Ian also flew in whilst we were in Adelaide so we got to stay a few days with him.
From Adelaide we hired a car nd drove to Melbourne along the great ocean road.
