This is really just two separate rifts united under the same, clever (I think) title.

In Bariloche they have a really odd habit: they don´t want to give you any change back. If you show up in a store and your purchase costs say, 22.50 and you try to pay with a 20 and 10 peso bills they will immediately ask you for "dos con cinquenta" or 2.50. At first this seems like them just being nice. But eventually, when you see them getting ready to ask that from a mile(kilometer) away or you truly just want to break your 100 peso bill it gets kind of annoying.

There are better things to see when buying ice cream than Saddam´s mug.

In other news..

Upon completing a hike to Cerro Compañero they had a gift shop/ restaurant deal at the top. Like other places they had a wall of foreign currency. It was a pretty impressive list. A US$2 the Costa Rican bill with a hammerhead shark on it and even a Cuban bill with Che Guevera. Pretty cool right? And then I go to pay for my ice cream and there is Sadaam Huessein on an Iraqi bill staring back at me. There are better things to see when buying ice cream than Saddam´s mug.
