"I took a girl to see India once... at the Oval!"

Hello there. Thanks for your patience. Like I said, it's going to take a few attempts before I find my feet with this, but please, stay with me.

So, Ric and I are very much in to our stride, dodging the bulls and the tuk-tuks as we explore the dusty streets of Delhi. Based as we are out of our hotel in the Paharganj area has dropped us straight in the deep end of the quintessential chaotic Indian scene, which presumably will stand us in good stead for everything the rest of the country can throw at us. Which includes waterbombs, apparently (although the Lonely Planet bible failed to provide advance warning of this particular hazard, I fell victim to the accurate arm of a mischevous young boy in Old Delhi, who was last seen fleeing from the scene of the crime. A career in test match cricket beckons, I'm sure.)

Nothing much eventful to report at this stage - Ric has suffered from an unidentified stomach bug, but it has failed to prevent us from clocking up the miles on foot. The next few days promise the finest sights Rajasthan has to offer - in Udaipur, Jodhpur, Jaisalmer, Jaipur - so please stay tuned for more updates. Sorry this was a brief first entry; I promise that my forthcoming entries will be more detailed (and hopefully, more regular).
