We arrived at DFW airport ahead of schedule which meant we had a bit longer to wait for our onward flight. We were both weary after our 3.00 am wake-up call in San Francisco The flight in wasn't too bad but what we had not beeen told was that American Airlines don't serve meals on their domestic flights even though the flight was 3½ hours or so long! fortunately we found out just as we were getting ready to board in SFO and were able to get a Danish pastry and croissant to stop us fading away before we got to Dallas.

Dallas Airport is vast, reflecting Texas we imagine. It is modern and has very good facilities. We were lucky in that our onward flight was departing from the same area and just a few gates down from where we arrived.

Andrew went and got us a snack for the next flight and we sat and had a cold drink watching the world go by until it was time for us to board the flight through to Tampa.

I agree with the other comments food does seem to be a recurrent theme on this blog! You don't appear to be having much luck with catherdrals on your travels - perhaps its sign your doing too much shopping! :-) ........ My friend whose reading this with me has just gasped in horror at my last sentence and said you can NEVER do too much shopping

Thought you would be able to manage on an internal flight without food, after all you both ate in Australia !!!
