New York - Day 3
Big day for our last day in New York - we visited 3 museums including the Guggenheim Art Gallery which had awesome paintings of Van Gogh, Kandinsky, Picasso, Monet, Matisse, Gaughin, Cezanne and may others. We then visited the Metropolitan Museum of Art (the Met) which had many ancient forms of art from the Greeks, Romans and Chinese to name a few. Then it was a stroll across Central Park to the American Museum of Natural History which is enormous and features 40 halls of displays of many examples of covering biology, space, human history, geology, etc, etc, etc.

Very tired we went back to our apartment for a breather before going out to a very nice italian seafood restaurant - Lisa and Martin had a marinara pasta for two which came out in a massive terrine plus bibs! They were needed as the bowl contained half a lobster, crab claw and several mussels, baby clams, calamari.
We then tried our luck again at the Empire State Building which was now totally clear - what a view of all the lights of this amazing city - and a great way to finish off our time in NYC.
