We are glad to be off the road for a week. The traffic around Armidale is fairly good and they all seem to stick to the limit of 50kph. Today we went to town and did the East and west Mall, the Plaza, the Services Club and drove about looking at some of the views. Just downed a rum & coke and we've eaten a plate of jatz bicys and basil dip. Tonights tea will be the remainder of last nights rolled chicken. We decided today that we are eating too well and need to cut back or get more exercise. The weather today has been cool all day and this afternoon a short shower of rain and there might be more to come overnight. We walked around the van park and found this large 5wheer manouvering into place. It is the biggest here at the moment along with an old bus converted to a home and a number of vans and motor homes and families staying in cabins. So not a lot of news today. Andrew would remember the plaza over the Brisbane Valley railstation, well the plaza down here is a spralling up and down ramps afair joining 3 huge old buildings in one street and looks like 2 building in the other street. With under cover parking in three differnent areas and not linked so you must remember which one you park in. We just watched Madalines being made of TV served with vanila icecream and fresh apricots simered in honey . French cooking. Looked lovely and we are thinking with our stomach in stead of our waist. We hope you all have a Happy Safe Easter and think about a friend of mine how has reported that he is experiencing " Winter was cold here - down to -12 where I live but now moving up - 7 at night - went to city in North China - Harbin = bloody cold -17 day and -40 night!!! But they have a yearly ice festival which is amazing so was worth the cold." So none of us should ever complain of the cold. One thing we have noticed with the new new van is that it is warmer than the Pop top. I suppose the top cplastic on the pop wasn't as good an insulator as the full height walls. There are many other benefits of a full van. We can pull up on the side of the road and have a cup of tea without having to raise the roof, plus much more.
