Every November, Pushkar holds a camel fair which these days draws hordes of tourists. We missed the fair by a week, but Pushkar still felt like one of the more touristy parts of India.  It was here that we experienced some of the craftiest tourist scams in the country--these people are well-practiced.  There's also loads of forgotten hippies here, like they're trapped from another era, and there is much partaking of the bhang lassis...all in all, a pretty chilled out place.
