Leaving Home

So the day has finally come!! Packing should have been done. It obviously hasn't. But tonight we leave the rainy UK to embark on our trip! Its been a drama-filled couple of days leading up to our departure due to the closure of Bangkok's airports, resulting in a change in our itinerary. Instead of flying to Bangkok to start our trip round S.E Asia, we are flying to Singapore where we will meet Mike (Oli's Dad) and then on to Kuala Lumpur to spend a couple of weeks exploring Malaysia until we are able to fly to Vietnam to join our trip. A bit of a nail biter as we only found out yesterday where we'd be flying to!

But in any case, we just wanted to say a huge thank you to everyone who's given us the most amazing send off over the past few days. Goodbyes are never easy but are certainly helped by all the fun and frivolity and 3000 cocktails! Lots of you travelled a long way to say goodbye (Jersey, Leeds, Brighton to name a few!) and we were so grateful because we had the best time. We're leaving with some great memories that will hopefully last us til we get back - thankfully Aimes took a million photos to jog our memory!

Anyway, we love you all and we'll think of you every step of the way. Keep safe and have a fantastic Christmas and New Year. We'll update as often as we can - please send us messages/emails/texts to keep us in the loop with life at home and we will reply if we have sufficient technology at the time! See you next year!
