horns and thorns

Converse County claims to have the highest pronghorn population in the country, and we saw a few herds today so I believe it. No good pix though- sorry. We passed around the Laramie Mountains which have been on our horizon for a few days. Yesterday, just before Guernsey I got a flat tire. Just a slow leak, so I pumped it up and rode into town with an eye on it. First flat since Virginia! We switched my tire in town, and that evening, coming back from Register Cliff in the dark, Neil got a flat too. He found some thorns stuck in the tire and we had to limp it back, reinflating it periodically. We laughed at ourselves a little and sang the ditty 'What’s gonna work? Teamwork!' from the tv show WonderPets. Just as we arrived at the KOA in Douglas- my tire went flat again! 3 in 24 hours?! We took the tires swimming with us and found the 2 little leaks. Probably looked a little silly, 2 people standing in a pool- 1 holding an inner tube, the other holding an ink pen at the ready. What’s gonna work? Teamwork!
