Up in time for the kids to have a good go of both the indoor and outdoor playgrounds as well as a wander through the neighbouring forest and Maze.Off to find our castle. Again, the gorgeous scenery stunned us and we decided that one day we must return for a longer stay in Luxemburg. The castle was set high above the Sure River on a cliff and long ago must have been very hard to get to. It was pretty challenging as it was. Great ruins. Enough left so you could see how it might have been to live here and more of that glorious scenery.

Next we gunned it for Disneyland, Paris. We have had a slight change of plans for later in our trip and we needed to get this in before we headed further north. The kids were thrilled to be there and as we walked the travelators from the car park it was pretty hard for us not to be excited too. It was a public holiday here (?Ascension Day?) and tired happy people were streaming out of the Parks as we were venturing towards them to gather information. Wow. It was great. We went into Planet Hollywood and saw all the gear, watched a clown show and walked around the Disney gardens out the front of the Disneyland Park. On the advice of the guest relations guy I even took Isaac behind the scenes to a special first aid post where they checked him out and dosed him up with Panadol and throat lozenges. (We left our first aid bag in the other van and haven’t been able to find an open pharmacy since) Our only concern about going to Disneyland tomorrow is that he is still under the weather with his sore throat.

In the end we decided that one park and one day was enough. We were told to return the next day with ID that showed we were all from the same family and we would get a discount because we were a ‘family nombreuse’. Excellent. We stayed in a special part of the car park where they allow campers. We had access to showers and toilets and apart from a street sweeper who hooned around the campers at one in the morning (Naomi was so mad that she got out and filmed him until he went away) it was a great spot to stay.

Hello, checking out your route. You drove straight through champagne and past Reims. Hope you made it back there. Have fun Fiona
