Poland was to be my first destination on my adventure to 'see the world.'  So after a train ride to London and a night of sleep in the Stansted airport, I arrived in Krakow.  The reason for going there was to visit Auschwitz, but we found out Krakow itself is a good enough reason to go there.  The first day there we explored the city center and the castle.  We discovered this castle after arriving there and looking at the map.  We had known about it beforehand, and it was quite a nice surprise.  Turns out Krakow was where the royalty of Poland lived in those days, so this was one awesome castle.

Me eating some delicious Polish bread. This type of bread was sold at small stands every couple of feet along the street, very popular, and very good.

The second day there we spent at Auschwitz.  I was unaware there was more than one Auschwitz, and today they have Auschwitz I and II open as a museum.  The first one is the main one with the main exhibits and that is where we went.  Because the museum closed early that day, we were unable to make to the second one, Birkenau, which is supposively more like what you would think a concentration camp would look like.  Basically the second one was the worse of the two.
