After the ascent of Bald Rock the expedition headed further north and into Queensland to set up camp in Girraween National Park - because it had hot showers!!

It was a really nice place, similar to Bald Rock, still basically a granite outcrop, this time pyramid shaped and a brilliant camping site with wood fired BBQs and gas powered hot showers, cooked rump steak, fried onions and mushrooms in the evening and full bacon and eggs the following morning.  Is this starting to sound a bit foodie??  The temperature did drop below freezing overnight so it was nice to huddle round the fire to eat breakfast and our little tent wasn't much protection against the elements so the following morning it was head north again in search of the sun.
