Finally we get to travel by train

(Nicks story).  So we flew from Cairo and arrived 6 hours later in Casablanca.  We checked in to a cock roach pit of a place near to the train station and went walk abouts for 9 hours in the main area.  There is not much to report, Casablanca is ok, nothing special.  We did treat ourselves to a meal in a nice restaurant and I tried Chicken Pastila.... a chicken with almonds and a few other things wrapped in pastry and covered with sugar and cinamon.....yes, a very unusual taste and one my educted English palat(!) had trouble with.  I could not decide whether it was a main course or dessert.  Ronnie had wonderful lamb and bread so it was an interesting meal.  Pity we do not like olives!

Back at the room we had to kill a foot sized cock roach before getting to sleep....but I slept the best I have in weeks so I was ready the next morning to catch the train to Marakeesh.
