Well i missed Sydney just too much, so i booked a ticket back straight away when darling Marcelo offered me accommodation and a Red Hot Chilli Peppers ticket.

I toddled onto the plane, not feeling oh so good after a dodgy plate of nachos at 2am in the morning, and promptly slept in between talking to a really nice guy (coincidentally going to the same concert). I arrived, eat food with said nice guy (Rob) and then went to the YHA, much to the shock of the staff on reception...i think they thought they had got rid of me for good! Since Marcelo wasn't arriving till the next day, i went out with some nice English guys to Scruffy Murphys (arse of the world Irish pub) and crawled into bed around 3am, way too tired to keep drinking coke.

The next day i wandered around until i got the call from Marcelo and headed over to his apartment to catch up with him. We took the day easy, had some food and watched a film since he was jetlagged and i was just feeling lazy.

The next day we woke up late and did the necessary food shopping and chilled out listening to music before heading over to a Sunday afternoon chill-out club called The Bed at around 5pm.  It was at an amazing location, right underneath Sydney Harbour Bridge, and the sunset over the water was so so beautiful. The interior of the club was wicked too, feathers everywhere, lots of beds with white linen all made up to sit and chat on and lots of photographers and film crews around to catch you in your worst moments (i got filmed being firelifted over someones shoulder during a pillow fight-how attractive!!)

At about 12/1am it was time to head to another club, so we packed up in a taxi and headed over to Hugos Lounge, a really cool club with lots of drinking and "celebrities" in the centre of Kings Cross.  We spent a couple of hours there, chatting to Marcelos lovely friends before we decided to call it a night and head back to his to sleep.

The day after Marcelo said we should go to the Easter Show, a 2 week event they have in Sydney full of animal competitions, fairground rides, music and shows!  We went over about 1pm and stayed till 10.30-it was such a cool place! We walked around seeing some of the shows, bought backs of sweets and stuff, before heading over to the fairground rides and nearly spilling our lunch on the rollercoasters.  We then saw a rodeo and some extreme motorcross bikes and a human cannonball before the finale, a huge fireworks show.  It was such a cool day, and completely different to anything they have in England, so it was nice that my trip back had timed to it, and even nicer to go with a friend.

After another day of drinking coffee and hot chocolate for me, (whilst being bribed with sweet talk and the best icecream i have ever tasted), it was D-day, the day of the magnificent concert, by the beautiful chili peppers.

We got ready and got picked up by Claudia, Marcelo's sister, we then headed over picking up more people before getting the train to the stadium. Everyone on the train was off to the concert and the atmosphere was so good..we headed into a pub and had beer (even me) and took some photos and sang along to a warm up band before running towards the stadium crazily and getting into our seats only about 10 minutes before the gods themselves descenced onto the stage.  Before they even came on everyone was screaming and taking photos-the stadium was huge and we were so excited to be there.

When they came on the screams were so loud i thought i might be deafened, and the concert then went on to give was out of this world-so intense but simply FANTASTIC!!!! i thought i might die and go to heaven, i think i owe Marcelo my life for giving me the ticket! After about 2 hours, and 3 encores (i told you the crowd was loud) the chilli peppers left for good, and we were left to get out of the place, and headed to the nearest hotel to discuss the concert and try to get down off the massive high the great concert had created.

The next morning it was time for me to say bye to Marcelo and wave him off to work (flying to LA and then NY, its alright for some), whilst i headed back to the fantastic icecream and met up with Anjali, who by complete coincidence, managed to be in Sydney at the same time-i love it! We had lunch and some icecream and then it was time for me to catch the train to the airport and say my final farewells to Australia before flying back to Christchurch, NZ.
