We had an early start and a taxi ride to the bus station. There is no tourist bus to Syabrubesi so we were traveling in the same kind of bus as we had traveled in to Kathmandu. I had a window seat so plenty of air but I actually ended up more dusty than I had on the previous journey. As soon as we left Kathmandu we were on a single track road that began to climb high above the valley. The road is tarred as far as  Trisuli Bazaar but after this it is made from dirt and rocks. It is a long bumpy ride and to be avoided by anyone with enough money to hire a 4x4 or helicopter.

Unfortunately, they put it back on the other side.

Again there were frequent stops. At Betrawati I got out and went for a wander. I had a chat with an eleven year old lad called Peter. He found it very funny that he had the same name as my father, and the father of everyone else who I was traveling with. His friend told me that Peter had fallen from the roof of a house and that he had been daft ever since. Peter disagreed and it started a funny little argument between them.

We eventually arrived in Syabrubesi at around 4:30 pm and checked into a small hotel. There seemed to be three places called Hotel Pollata, we stayed at the second place on the right. It was small, basic and clean with very friendly owners.
