From Costa Rica!!Pura vida!! in Manuel Antonio National Park, Costa Rica on Jul 21 '07
Hola chicas!!
Hope everyone is ok thanks Zara for your comments, others please feel free to comment.
Well ive been very busy since i last wrote this, been on many trips. On saturday i went on a very unsuccessful and long and susposedly nice catamaran trip down the bays looking for dolphins. It was over 3 hours long and the vast majority of it i was being ill over the side AND there were no dolphins i was soo gutted. i got to do a bit of snorkelling and saw a few fish but not a lot else not even and nice coral. there was unlimited food and drink obviously paid for in the cost of the trip which i couldnt make use of either!!all in all not a good day. on sunday i anticipated for a much better day as i ventured into manuel antonio national park. we saw a couple of good things like many many capuchin monkeys im currently trying to upload some pictures, and we saw a crocodile luckily some distance away. didnt such much else, o apart from a two toed sloth. i was a bit disapointed as i thought it would be ore rainforesty like and have lots of pretty plants and birds but there wasnt but i guess its still only a newly established national park.
monday i was back at classes in the morning, and in the afternoon me and some mates went for a nice lunch and shopping in Quepos which was fun. yesterday was tuesday, and it was rainmaker canopy tour day!!it was really fun and quite scary in places as the bridges were soooo high up however it was raining really hard and was in the middle of a thunderstorm so the only wildlife we saw was one poisoness dart frog. it was still good fun nonetheless. after the rainforest walk on the way back we saw a kingfisher and heard a toucan but we couldnt find it. today after class we went down to the beach and dida bit of shopping - got a nice dress and a bag and did some homework on the beach and i have a photo to prove it!! Tomorrow im planning on going to the Butterfly botanical gardens if the weather is nice which is only about 1 mile away from the school and hoepfully illhave a bit more success seeing some indigenous fauna and flora.
On Saturday morning im leaving for my next stop- Playa Hermosa where the real excitment begins- the turtle project!!!
I will my Tica family when I leave as they have been so lovely to me, especially sharon the little girl whose six who makes me paly with her after dinner every night. anyways i must dash now, im off to salsa classes at the school tonight.
