Last 'real' day here

So, today is essentially my last day in Melbourne. True, I'm back for a single day next week, but what can you really do in one day? So, I'm considering this my last overall day here. Just as well, really, considering that I've begun to grow... well, honestly, Melbourne is not as interesting as I hoped it would be.
It's not that the city isn't well worth a visit, and there are things I have loved about this city. It's really compact, and easy to get around thanks to the tram system (which they say you have to pay for, and yet it's so rare to actually have people paying)

Anyway, what did I do today? Oh yeah, the Melbourne Museum is well worth a visit. The only downside is that you often find there are lots of school children running around. But beside them and their screaming (or similar noise), there are some really interesting things here. I mean, I arrived at about 1030, and the next time I glanced at my watch, it was 1230, so time can really fly if you want it to.
After this, I did very very little all day. I wanted to finish Harry Potter 7, so I actually found myself sat down in the parks, having brought my lunch with me, and was there until 1530. The parks are probably one of the best things about this city, as you can really loose yourself in them. As I was sat there, this bird actually came right up to me, just chirping... they were totally unafraid, and I got quite a good shot of one - I've included it, so you can see how close they were, within about six feet.
Anyway, tomorrow I'm off to Adelaide, which I approach with some apprehension I will admit. Still, it's always the same, going to a new city you don't know. I'm sure it'll all be fine - how can it not b?
Oh, I just want to say one thing to all those of you backpacking around, watch your valuables. If you relax, they will get taken. Last night, I relaxed, and by the time I knew it, my phone had gone. Now, I got the phone back, but the SIM card was missing. I found that as well - and it was locked. Now, I normally never have a PIN code on my phone, so someone was obviously trying to change it for themselves. Anyway, this culminated in a call to the UK (quite a franctic one, but my mum helped calm me down) and other fun stuff. So, watch your stuff like a hawk. And also, don't be afraid to employ extreme measures to get it back
