Today we went around to the places our Acropolis admissions got us but we didn't make yesterday (Ancient Agora and Keramikos). At 8:20AM, we made it to the Ancient Agora and it was already getting warm -- must be all the dirt and marble. The best parts of the Agora were the Temple of Hephaestus and the Stoa of Attalos.
Next we went on to Keramikos, the city's cemetary from the 12th century BC to Roman times. The ruins were alright but the highlight for us was spotting a foot-long turtle move along the grass and stone. Unfortunately, at this point Aidan was feeling a little sick so we never made it to the Roman Agora. Instead we headed back to the hotel to pack up our bags for checkout.

Later, we took the metro to Piraeus where we caught the 9PM ferry for Chania on the island of Crete. The ferry was very crowded. As we only got deck-class, we spent the night sleeping in the pullman seat section or outside. The ride was very long and we were glad to dock in Souda (7 km south east of Hania).
We took a bus to Hania, then leaving Damon with the packs went out to find accomodation. We found a studio room to rent which is rather nice. While Damon caught up on rest and rested his blisters, we explored the harbour. The harbour is pretty with a lighthouse, fortress and mountains in the distance. As well, there's all sorts of touristy restaurants and shops.

To end the day, we're planning on exploring a little more and going for our first dip in the Mediterranean Sea.
