Our Area - Bradley Stoke

After searching round as much of Bristol as we could with limited transport, we decided to settle in an area to the North called Bradley Stoke (named after two rivers The Bradley and The Stoke).

It's a fairly new subdivision celebrating it's twentieth anniversary this year.  There were lot's of properties to rent and the rates are a bit cheaper than closer into town.  There are lot's of young families in the area, and lots of toddler groups for Grace to attend.

There are also lot's of churches which we're sure is a good sign.  So far we've only made it to one church, which we decided not to go back to, not what we're looking for, so will go to Patchway Baptist this Sunday.

There's lots to do within walking distance including a leisure centre with a swimming pool, library, gym, and children's activity groups, plus a big Tescoes, doctors surgery and a play ground - which is not so useful during these winter months.

We're still pretty close to the city centre, about a 20min drive, although it's an hour on the bus!  Close by there is a huge mall called Cribbs Causway which also has a mega centre style shopping complex attached and a Movie complex with heaps of restaurants all about a 10min drive away, or 15min by bus.  We'd probably do most of shopping at Cribs Causeway and not really need to go into the centre very much.
