Hey guys,

I know I have been really slack with this blog, but it is not as easy to update it as I thought it would be. I am currently back in Florence and I dont have a computer at my apartment or my school, so I have to go to an internet cafe each time & pay - which is a pain in the arse & quite expensive.

I started my Italian course on Monday, I am finding it really difficult to pick up the language - will possibly drop out before the 4 weeks is up but I will see how I go. My flatemates are fantastic though, I am currently living with 3 girls - from Russia, Spain & Switzerland. I am having alot of fun now, but I am still really homesick and craving some familularity. It is such a culture shock here and can be quite overwhelming.

Michaels mum is coming to Florence tomorrow and spending 5 nights with me. We are going to Venice for the weekend which I am really looking forward to. The weather here has been quite warm, in the last ten minutes though it has started raining really heavily. There is hail & wind pounding against the internet cafes windows - will be quite interesting walking home after this.

It has been great hearing from everyone via emails, keep them coming - I am really enjoying reading them.

No photos on this blog sorry, didnt have time. Hopefully next time.

Hi Stace, What a change in weather...... sounds like Melbourne. How lucky are u that Michael's Mum in meeting up with u. Hope u both have a great time. Hey the course might be hard at first but stick it out for as long as possible. Great that u have some good room mates. We are all fine - miss u....but love reading your blogs!!
