We got up to a beautiful day. The sun was shining but a bit cool. We headed for the mountains after breakfast. Along the way, there were several small lakes and streams. Tupper Lake, NY was a dump. The roads were all torn up and the homes looked like they needed a coat of paint for the last several years. Junk cars in the yard, etc. Saranac Lake was much nicer. We were looking for a spot to eat lunch. We ended up eating in Lake Placid. What a view. The 1932 and 1980 Winter Olympics were held there. There are lots of great roads to ride in the adirondacks. After lunch, we headed back to Lake George. It was an 11 hour day but we only rode 250 miles. After dinner of a McDonald's salad, we went into town to watch fireworks. OOOH....AAAH! Much better than our home town's fireworks on the 4th. We walked back to the hotel and packed some of our stuff for the next morning. We decided to stop at Niagara Falls on the way home. 250 miles today.
