Tried to drive the RV thru Austin and didn’t have much luck,, really tight. We conquered Houston but not Austin. We finally found the cool section of town and drove thru but that was about it. However, as we traveled on we found Lyndon B Johnson National Park which was a great stop for the kids. They played at the park and we toured a 1915 style german settled ranch. They had pigs, longhorns, roosters, chickens, lambs, and regular cows. Then we hit the little town of Fredricksburg and what a surprise!! Touristy little town but with lots of style. Drank a beer from the local brewery, the kids got ice cream and I meandered the local artsy fartsy shops. We wore our TX cowboy hats to the LBJ park and one little girl came right up to me and said Cowgirl!! – so I must be fitting the part.

I think it is my turn to drive the RV tomorrow….
