Mui Ne
From February - May 2007 in Mui Ne, Vietnam on May 07 '07
Mui Ne is sheer paradise. It is a tiny place on Vietnam’s east coast and the beach is only a few yards away wherever you are. It is incredibly quiet and you really feel like you are away from it all. We went for long strolls by the beach and swam in the South China Sea. Mui Ne is also Vietnam’s windsurfing and kiteboarding mecca. Unfortunately, there wasn’t enough wind while we were there so instead we just chilled out with some drinks in one of the water sports bars :-) We hired a moped to explore some of the nearby villages and buzz out to Mui Ne’s enormous sand dunes, where we had a go at sand sledding!! It was hilarious!! Dean tried a Seafood Hotpot, one of the local specialities, for dinner. It's amazing - they bring all the ingredients, a small furnace and aluminium pot to your table and cook it up in front of you. Unfortunately, we didn't have the camera with us that time...!
Vietnam is absolutely beautiful and we are thrilled to have a fortnight of travelling here. Next, we will head north to Nha Trang, a busier beach town further up the coast.
