Starting in Haarlem, (re)packing my stuff for the trip to Scotland! The bus was going to pick us up at Haarlem Spaarnwoude trainstation. Jackeline went with me on the bus and took me over to the station there, and we were nicely on time.

After 15 or so minutes the bus arrived and I said goodbye to Jackeline and off we went! To Ijmuiden! Obviously there isn't a normal road going to the port and we had to go through the city to get there. Or maybe the busdriver didn't know the way? Guess I'll never find out. Finally there, we had to make a huge line with all the 90 persons or so. Of course this took a while to get through the check-in for the boat, but once on there it was all good. Took my baggage to the cabin (just the hand baggage for the boat) on the 2nd deck and went back upstairs to look for the others. I stayed in a cabin with 3 girls, who I thought would be nice and quiet to stay the night with.

The end of night was there, don't quite remember what time it was, but we had a good time.

Up on the 7th deck we sat in the Sports bar for a bit, but I just had half a beer or so. Was more hungry than thirsty, so after a while I went to get some food.

Seems everything on this boat is expensive. The beer I can sorta understand, but the cheapest food we could find was EUR 4,50 for a soup with bread sticks. Small soup it was too, but tasted nice (everything tastes nice when you're hungry ;)

We bought a couple of beers at the onboard supermarket, which wasn't too bad: 12 cans of Heineken for 8 euro (4 each). After hanging around and drinking the beers with the boys (can't remember their names at the moment haha), the party was at the Sports Bar, and we were being dragged in.

A bit of dancing and a bit of chatting with whoever was there, always fun when nearly everyone is out to party. Strange enough you always seem to meet people who you hadn't met before at uni, but who were there for the whole year just like yourself.

The end of night was there, don't quite remember what time it was, but we had a good time. When I got to the cabin the girls were already asleep so I was ready to sleep and for tomorrows hangover!
