Several years ago I read a story about zorbing.   The activity is pretty simple as it just involves rolling down a hill in a giant, inflatable, plastic ball.  It sounded so ridiculous that I immediately wanted to participate.   So now in Rotorua, I've found the home of the Zorb and I was definitely going to get a roll in.

While Zorbing there are several different options.   You can go down a straight 200m hill or a zig zag course, you can be strapped in or not, and you can opt for being unstrapped with a bucket of water.   I opted for the recommended zig-zag, free and wet.

To be completely honest it's a bit of a waste of money and not my biggest thrill in New Zealand.  It was fun, and in hindsight I would still do it again, if only for the story.   You basically just slide around inside this giant ball as it rolls and bouncing off of things.   Nothing too crazy but it's pretty funny.  Luckily Haven was there to take some pictures so you can have a look at what it was like to be a hamster for the day....
