I'm home. A bit of a weird concept to someone who hasn't seen any of the people they love the most in three months! While that amount of time isn't that long in comparison with alot of the travellers I met in Australia and Thailand, it is most definately not a short time by any means! This was my first trip of this kind and the first time I travelled alone. It's kind of funny to think back to myself during my first few days in Bangkok. I was scared, I was lonely and I wanted to go home. I considered myself a pretty confident person before I left, but travelling like this teaches you how to handle any situation that comes your way. There's almost nothing more satisfying then throwing yourself into a completely foreign situation and place, where you don't know your way around and don't have anyone to call for help and making your way throw it all in one piece! You learn the beauty of taking time out for yourself and the courage to tackle tough times alone. And the best part might just be coming home and knowing that even though you can get through those difficult times by yourself, you won't have to because you're surrounded by those who love you.

This trip will always be special to me. It was the first experience I had like it, and it was the most carefree I ever have and most likely ever will be. But the most important thing I learned during my travels was that travelling is not just a phase of your life you have to go through and then you'll be over it, it's something that should be built into your life. Every place you see reminds you of all the places you have yet to see; every new culture you experience makes you wonder what else is out there; and every trip you take gives you contacts in other parts of the world you now have a desire to travel to! Just as an example check out the list of places I have been inspired to go to by people on my trip:

1. I'll be heading to Germany for Octoberfest to visit my new friend Annette!
2. I'd love to stop by Scotland and visit Lynne and Robbie from my Fraser tour!
3. Sweden sounds so exciting now, and I can meet up with Angelica from the Whitsundays!
4. Brittany from Sydney is going to Central America and I'm thinking about going with her!
These are just a few of the places and people I want to see and keep in touch with. And of course, I can't forget Australia. I told people that I met that I have a 'crush' on Australia and it remains true even now! So many great times and important changes happened in that country. I know that it will always play an important part in my life and I'm already starting to think about when I can make it back! And I'll get to host all my new friends here in Canada as well, which will no doubt help me discover even more about this country I thought I knew so well!
This while rant is just a bit of a wrap up, something to put some closure on this journal. Thanks to everyone who read my entries, commented on photos, and offered me encouragement and support every step of the way! I hope I managed to make it somewhat entertaining, and I hope I've inspired some others to begin travelling as well!
Until my next adventure begins and the new entries start flowing out, take care and have fun!
