Summer of love

Well I spent a fabulous summer here, and although the Northerners in Germany have a reputation for being reserved and rather hard to break into as a social circle, I got to know heaps of people here and the romantic potential of this harbour city is quite simply stunning ;-))

Being my usual lucky self I spent a year here that had the most glorious summer in a very long time, but beware of the long cold stormy gray winters here that can seriously affect your mood if you're used to a lot of light and sun. If you visit, rent yourself a little boat and paddle or peddle yourself over the Alster river that runs through town, definitely the best way to get an impression of the riches and beauty of this beautiful city..
