Hello from Sana'a!

Just a quick not to tell you that we arrived safely here in Sana'a, Yemen!  Its is all very overwhelming, trying to take it in, though I am a bit jetlagged from our 24 hours of traveling.  Sana'a is beautiful, the architecture, sights, smells, sounds (we're staying right next to a mosque--I knew when it was 5am, that's for sure!).  We are surrounded by mountains, it is gorgeous.  I think we are going to be here through Friday pending we get our appropriate permits to travel.  We are staying at the  American Institute for Yemeni Studies, very nice accommodations.  Warm shower, nice room.
