Today me, my cousin Jen and her husband Ken went snowboarding again at Bear Creek. We got there for about 4 p.m. It wasn't too crowded for a weekend. When we got to the bunny slope we could see most of the moguls were gone. There were a few small bumps left but I guess the heavy rain and people riding the slope wore them down.
For the first time today we saw someone scanning passes and lift tickets at the magic carpet line. We hadn't seen that happen all season long but we heard Bear has a program where the encourage their liftys to catch people without passes for money.
Ofcourse we both fell getting off the lift, then again so did the people in front of us and behind us.

When we got to the top we started on the left hand side with what remained of the bumps. Ski and Snowboard school was still going on so we had to manuever around crowds of people but it really wasn't that bad.
Once again the snow was a different texture. It felt harder than it did on Wed but not icy and it was sort of slushy but not nearly as much as it was during the week. I had brought my waterproof disposable camera with me again so I took some pictures of all of us with our boards, us on the magic carpet and some of the outside of the lodge.
We did a few runs down the bumpy side of the bunny slope then we decided to try the other side of the slope with the steeper hill. I think we all liked the side with the bumps better. For some reason it just seems better, its not as flat at the top or something......it's hard to explain.
After doing quite a few runs on the bunny slope Jen decided she wanted to try the lift to the beginner's slope. Ken and I waited at the bottom. The beginner's slope didn't look too bad. The hill was slightly steeper and a bit higher than the bunny hill but it didn't look too bad. We watched Jen come down, she did pretty well. She only fell once or twice. She said the hill wasn't bad and the worst part was getting off the lift, she had fallen.
I decided to try it so I skated over to the lift.......which feels really akward and Jen and I go onto the lift together. Ken waited at the bottom for us. I found the board quite heavy dangling from one leg. I liked the ride on the chair lift, I took a few pictures and then we got to the top.
Ofcourse we both fell getting off the lift, then again so did the people in front of us and behind us. The slope at the lift is not nearly as bad as I imagined it would be but I imagine it will take a few times til we get the hang of it. I liked the slope on the beginner's hill. It was challenging and had a few nice bumps in it. I actually got down in only 2 falls but I had to do the falling leaf on some of the steeper areas.
When we got to the bottom we both told Ken it was no big deal but he decided to work on skating so me and Jen went back up for a second run down. Our second time down was pretty much like the first, we fell getting off the lift again and had a good run down.
Once we got to the bottom Ken decided to try it. He and Jen went up and I waited at the bottom, my ankle popped on my last run and I decided it was about time to call it a night. Both Jen and Ken fell getting off the lift. Jen had a good run down. Ken had a bit of trouble but made it down ok. After that we all decided we were tired and it was time to go home for the night. It was a good day and I'm glad we did the lift.
